Cisco Career Certifications are the leading industry-recognized
networking certifications! Today's organizations suffer from a lack
of skilled professionals to support their internal network infrastructures
and Internet connectivity. Accent Technology and Cisco Career Certifications
can solve this challenge by offering rigorous training in the latest
information technologies, certifying technical proficiency and providing
resources for continuing education.
Course
Description
This course covers the important information required to configure
Cisco switches and routers in multiprotocol internetworks. Multi
hands-on labs allow you to perform router and switch configurations
on a LAN and WAN network. Perform all basic configuration procedures
to build a multirouter, multigroup internetwork that uses LAN and
WAN interfaces for the most commonly used routing and routed protocols.
You
learn to
- Install and
configure Cisco routers and switches in multiprotocol networks
- Identify
components and functions of the OSI Model
- Configure
basic operation of Cisco IOS® Software
- Configure
a router and switch from command line interface
- Use system
files to learn about neighboring devices
- Configure
the Catalyst® 1900 switch
- Extend switched
networks with virtual LANs (VLANs)
- Interconnect
Networks using TCP/IP
- Determine
IP routes with RIP and IGRP
- Configure
IP access lists
- Complete
an ISDN BRI call
- Connect to
Frame Relay services
- Configure
serial connections to WAN service providers
Prerequisites
An understanding of the OSI reference model and a basic working
knowledge of bridges and routers are required. Understanding Networking
Fundamentals (NET +) or MCSE's Net Essentials provide an excellent
foundation.
